About Me
I was born
years ago in Alba, the capital of the Langhe. I always lived in the middle of magnificient hills plenty of wineyards, green, trees, in the middle between the alpes north-west passage with its paintely perfect olympics mountains and the mediterranean sea of Liguria. A place where food, wine and tradition entertwines. This makes langhe one of the most beautiful places on Earth for me.
When I was 14, I decided that Computer Science would have been my field, and I entered the technical High School "Giancarlo Vallauri" in Fossano, a school that gave me a lot, not only technical skills. I studied there until I was 17 and I completed the final exam with maximum marks. I then took my Bachelor in Computer Science at the Politecnico di Torino in the following three years. I received the Bachelor degree with maximum grades on September 8, 2006, when I was 20.
In the following months, I enrolled into a double Master in computer engineering between Politecnico di Torino and Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH) in Stockholm. I carried out my Master Thesis at Saab Security and the Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS) from September 2008 to February 2009. I graduated in March 2009 from KTH with final grade A, and on April 24, 2009 in Turin, with maximum grades and honors. From February 2009 to May 2009 I was employed as researcher at the Networked Embedded System group of the Swedish Institute of Computer Science.
On June 2009, I started my Ph.D. at the Institute of Computer Engineering at the University of Lübeck, in Germany, where I will continue my previous research on wireless sensor networks and networked embedded systems.
My primary research topics are currently newer applications of body sensor networks, link estimation on low-power radios, and interference mitigation in wireless sensor networks.
